4pi Omni Directional Density Probe

Casing Contact Caliper

  • This caliper measures EMF proportional to casing millivolts. With each survey point, the caliper is placed into a zone and arms set open, than a surface millivolt meter is used to make measurement of the potential. After readings, arms are retracted and the next zone is tested for current flow. To insure electrical connection to the inside casing, sharp carbide contacts are used. A minimum of 4 conductors are required for this survey.​

Magnetically Coupled Caliper

  • Caliper can be utilized as a spring type centralizer above or below existing radiation tools

  • H2S and corrosion resistant material used throughout, including the spring material 

  • Motors, lead screw, shaft seals and switching circuits are eliminated using the magnetically coupled caliper 

  • No power is required to open or close this tool 

  • Advantages, besides centralizing, is logging up or down without closing springs, IN/OUT flexibility in springs gives minimal error and excellent repeatability

Motorized Caliper

Noise Temperature Probe

  • Uses a piezo-electric crystal to detect downhole audio frequency and amplitude variations due to fluid and gas movement  

  • 10mv to 7V peak to peak output, can be hooked to external speaker

  • Runs stacked with a 0°-300° F linear temp probe, that generates 10 PPS per degree 

  • Temp rating: 300° F 

  • Pressure rating: 20k PSI

Perforating Gamma Ray Probes

  • Comprobe utilizes ruggedized scintillation-type detectors or GM tubes for gamma ray correlation in shooting gamma ray probes. Detectors are 3-axis shock protected for longer operating life. Tool contains negative shoot-thru protection. These probes are typically combined with top or bottom mount CCL's that are modular coil and magnet assemblies with dual-diode protection. Appropriate subs are necessary looking down into the perforating guns for 1 5/8" OD and larger.

Pressure Probe

  • Solid state pressure transducer uses piezoresistive sensor 

  • 2 standard pressure ranges available: 0-500 PSI and 0-10,000 PSI

  • Temp rating: 250° F

Pressure Temperature Probe

Production Gamma Ray Probes

  • Although virtually all of Comprobe's logging gammas may be used for production work, these three probes are most often utilized:

Sinker Bars

  • Feed thru can be single or multi-conductor 

  • Typical material is 303 SS 

Temperature Probe

  • Detects minute changes in thermal gradients associated with water communication or gas movement over 0-300° F 

  • Pressure rating: 5k PSI or 15k PSI depending on model 

  • High pressure rating and/or H2S resistant housings available 

  • All models incorporate a fast response platinum sensor
